sauna pod

Wellness Sauna Pod

Our Wellness Sauna Pod uses infrared and dry heat technology to offer this one-of-a-kind experience. Infrared saunas emit invisible sun like rays to heat your body from the inside out, mimicking the sun’s effects without the harmful effects of UV rays. Don’t be alarmed! It’s very safe! Infrared heat is the same technology used within neonatal units at most hospitals.

Infrared saunas help the body detox from environmental pollutants and toxins deep within your fat cells, and removes the toxins through sweating. It has been known to help with complexion, destressing, and burning calories.

Dry Saunas use convection heat to warm the air around the body. This produces surface body heat, which allows the body to further cleanse through perspiration. During perspiration, the pores of the skin open to flush out impurities from the body. The combination of both infrared and dry heat maximizes the body’s ability to achieve total body wellness. This is the ultimate secret to a more heathier and happier YOU!

Signature Facial Massage

Massage enhances blood circulation, improves muscle relaxation, and eases pain along with other stress related conditions Whether you are looking for a quick midday pick-me-up or a soothing escape, the luxury of a facial massage is desirable for its more practical benefits. Here are just a few:

better mood

Better Mood - Facial massage decreases anxiety, and can improve a negative mood. According to a study conducted by the User Science Institute in 2008, psychological tests administered after 45 minutes of facial massage showed significant improvements in both mood and anxiety levels. A relaxing facial massage may be just what you need to improve your mood.

prevent rinkles

Prevent Wrinkles - Daily stress often results in tension buildup in the muscles. Forehead furrow and lines form between the brows and along the lip line. Gentle, routine facial massage can help relax these tight and drawn muscles, decreasing the lines that they form. Massage combined with a hydrating moisturizer can also help minimize lines and dryness.

Curb Congestion

Curb Congestion - Facial massage can help relieve allergy symptoms, such as sinus congestion. A buildup of mucus in the sinus areas can result in pressure, puffiness and headaches. Steam inhalation and with gentle massage helps to mobilize secretions, improve drainage and relieve congestion. See a doctor before experiencing the Wellness Sauna Pod if you have more serious sinus conditions, such as an infection.

Detoxify the Body

Detoxify the Body - Massaging the face stimulates the lymphatic vessels and facilitates toxin elimination from the facial area. The lymphatic system plays a key role in health. Lymph is a clear fluid that removes toxins from the body. It's filtered through the lymph nodes and moves into the bloodstream, where toxins can be eliminated. Muscle movement is needed to push lymph fluid through the body. A lack of movement can result in a sluggish lymphatic system and a buildup of toxins. Many lymph nodes are scattered throughout the facial area, especially along the edge of chin and jawline.

Chair Massage

Chair massage also has lasting physical effects that help boost wellness long after your time in the chair is over. Massage is often used to reduce tension headaches and treat and even prevent chronic migraines. And a single 15-minute chair massage can promote increased blood circulation, lower blood pressure, and a strengthened immune system—benefits that you’ll experience for days or even weeks after your treatment.

weight loss image

Weight Loss

Our Wellness Sauna Pod aids in weight loss by heating your core temperature to induce sweating, increasing blood flow and heart rate. Much like moderate exercise, increasing blood flow and heart rate has shown to help with weight loss. Our pods go beyond the surface and channel deep within the body through infrared heating. The Wellness Sauna Pod also helps you lose weight by easing aches and pains associated with weight training, helping you return to the gym sooner. Such benefits make the Wellness Sauna Pod an effective lifestyle advantage for those who cannot participate in traditional exercise programs due to medical conditions such as osteoarthritis, cardiovascular or respiratory problems.
According to a publication in the Journal of the American Medical Association, infrared sauna weight loss sessions were shown to burn up to 600 calories. ² During a sauna weight loss session, core temperatures increase. The body must work hard to cool itself, causing a healthy sweat. Using an infrared sauna increases heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rate, burning more calories, leading to more weight loss. And blood flow rises, increasing from 5-7 quarts up to 13 quarts a minute. ³
Heated saunas also help improve insulin sensitivity, increase lean muscles, and reduce fat by changing the hormonal environment. Thereby, reducing the effects of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.
A Japanese study found that over the course two weeks of far infrared sauna usage when accompanied with a low-calorie diet, resulted in significant weight and body fat loss in overweight people. While this study did not compare the fat loss with a non-sauna use group, the reduction in body fat (4.5%) in two weeks’ time is significant.
It is a well-known fact that maintaining a healthy weight is very important to your overall quality of life. A 10-year study published by The New England Journal of Medicine discovered that the circumference of your waist alone is a critical factor for assessing the risk of premature death. In other words, by maintaining a healthy weight, you may be able to live a longer, healthier life. ²

stress reduction image

Stress reduction

The American Institute of Stress estimates that 75 to 90% of all visits to primary care physicians are for stress-related problems. Long-term stress is the cause of countless physiological effects on the body, including increased blood pressure, weight gain and weakening of the immune system. The more stressed you are, the more cortisol your body produces. Cortisol is a “fight or flight” hormone made in the adrenal glands that raises heart rate and blood pressure and leads to the deposit of excess calories in the midsection. Published studies have shown that both sauna sessions and massage can be helpful in reducing cortisol levels. Cortisol levels generally increase slightly during a high heat sauna therapy session, but they drop immediately afterward. In fact, infrared saunas in general have been clinically shown to reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure with regular use.

pain relief image

Pain Relief

Got Pain? Try our Sweat & Relax session to alleviate some tension and relax muscles. Our Wellness Sauna Pods emit infrared and dry heat that penetrates joints, muscles and tissues, increasing circulation and speeding up oxygen flow. Infrared heat reduces muscle spasms and helps the body heal itself naturally. Heat helps to ease muscle fatigue, stress and pain by relieving muscle strain and releasing built-up lactic acid. A recent Japanese study published in the journal, Internal Medicine, showed that chronic pain patients experienced a significant reduction in pain levels (nearly 70%) after the first session of infrared sauna therapy. Pain scores also decreased significantly and remained low throughout the observation period. Researchers concluded that infrared heat therapy is effective for chronic pain treatment. ¹
Infrared saunas have resulted in effective in pain management therapy for many different ailments. Here are some of the conditions in which infrared sauna therapy has been successfully used for pain relief:
• Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis
Those who suffer from autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis often struggle with pain management which may have life-long side effects. But with sauna therapy, pain relief can be found without negative outcomes. A study has shown that while in the sauna, all patients with these conditions felt significantly better.

• Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a common and complex chronic pain disorder that causes widespread pain and tenderness to touch that may affect the entire body. Studies have shown that not only does infrared sauna use help with natural pain relief during treatment, but even months after ending sauna treatment the pain was still significantly lower. ²

• Emotional Pain
Physical pain is often given much more credit in our society than pain caused by emotions. But medical doctors have begun to understand the real physiological impact of psychological issues. Infrared sauna therapy works on the pain that can’t be seen, too. In the same study of chronic pain patients, researchers also found that patients had a statistically lower anger level compared to those not in the sauna group. ²
